What are stretch tents made of?
Freeform® fabric is a specially developed two way stretch fabric that is 100% waterproof. It is made with high tenacity yarns which make it super strong. It’s treated with mould inhibitors, UV protectors, UV absorbers and a Teflon coating for dirt repellence.
Are the tents waterproof?
Yes, the latest generation of the fabric technology used by the Stretch Tent Co. is 100% waterproof. Where the tents are joined together we use the latest linking technology which provides a water-tight guttering system.
When will you come and install our tent for our event?
Our standard hire prices are for a weekend’s hire. We will usually come and install a day or two before your event and take away a day or two after. We can work with you to suit your preference and can provide longer-term hires, on the day installs and other unusual requirements.
What sizes do your tents come in?
Our smallest individual tent is 6m x 8m and our largest is 20m x 25m. Other popular sizes in stock include 9x12ms, 9x15ms, 12x12m, 12x15ms, 12x18ms, 15x15ms, 15x18ms, 15x20ms, 20x20ms as well as many others. The beauty of these tents is that they are modular in design and can therefore be joined together to give unusual configurations or 1000sqm coverage in 12m, 15m or 20m widths for larger events.
Can we have our own shaped tent complex?
Each and every installation is bespoke. The ability of a stretch tent to adapt to, and re-invent the entertaining space is amazing. We can rig them from buildings, over terraces, encompass gardens and slopes as well as incorporate features such as trees and rocks to create a truly magical space.
What if the weather is wet and windy?
If the weather forecast is wet and windy then we can simply hunker down the sides to make a cosy interior space – and when you know our tents can easily withstand winds of up to 50mph, that’s gale force 9, you’ll feel safe and snug.
Do stretch tents get hot inside in the summer?
Long warm summer evenings is where stretch tents really come into their own, acting like suspended canopies keeping your guests shaded and allowing cool breezes to move through the space.
Does it have to be a flat surface?
No, the beauty of a stretch tent is that it can stretch and flex over any terrain and work around buildings and other structures. Our internal poles vary in height and can be installed on different levels within the tent to suit the site.
How long can the tents be hired for?
Our stretch tents can be hired for a single day or longer events, whilst we wouldn’t recommend them as permanent structures they can certainly extend the al fresco dining opportunities for many hotels and restaurants, well into the autumn and spring.
What size of tent do I need?
Let us know what kind of event you plan to hold and how many people you plan to entertain and we’ll recommend the size and configuration of tent.
How quickly can you put up a stretch tent?
We won’t be in your way for long, unlike many complex and heavy marquees. Although this depends on the site and the size of the tent, our team of event professionals will usually be in and completed in just a few hours, leaving you plenty of time to dress and prepare the venue. Similarly, when you’re ready the tent can be de-constructed and off site just as quickly.
Can the tent be fixed to exiting structures like buildings?
Yes. We can install the tents off buildings so that they essentially becoming an extension of the interior space.
What colours do the tents come in?
In our hire stock of tents we have white, chino, black and pink tents. If these don’t suit and we have a bit of time before the event then we can get tents manufactured in any colour.
